Biography

Louis W. Fryman joined the firm in May, 2008. Before joining the firm, he was a partner with Fox Rothschild LLP, where he served in various leadership roles including Chair of the Litigation Department, Managing Partner, Chair of the firm, and Chair Emeritus. During his more than 45 years of practice, Lou has represented a wide variety of clients in business transactions, white collar defense and complex commercial litigation. Lou has received many honors for both his professional accomplishments and his ongoing commitment to service in the legal and broader community.

Lou is on the Executive Board of the Academy of Advocacy and is an adjunct professor in the masters program of trial advocacy at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. He serves as a mediator in the federal district court and a Judge Pro Tempore in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, as well as independently. In the past, he has served as a member of the Commission for Judicial Selection and Reform of the Senate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, President of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, President of the Lawyer’s Club of Philadelphia, a Commissioner in Lower Merion Township. He was appointed by U.S. Senators Arlen Specter and Rick Santorum to the Federal Judicial Nominating Commission of Pennsylvania in 1996 and 1997, by Governor Ridge to the Judicial Advisory Commission for 1995, and by Mayor Rendell to the Philadelphia Refinancing Task Force, as counsel to the Charter Reform Commission, and as a member of the Election Reform Task Force. He has provided service and leadership to many community organizations, including Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America, The Episcopal Academy (Former Chairman), the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Jewish Coalition (Past President).
