Biography

Paul Greco has 18 years of experience in representing clients in complex litigation, including disputes arising out of corporate transactions, suits among healthcare providers and insurers, and cases involving employment and ERISA-related issues. Paul also has substantial experience in intellectual property litigation, both prosecuting and defending cases that involve protection of trade secrets and enforcement of restrictive covenants.

Representative Matters include the following:

  • Represented hospital acquired by major regional health system and helped it to obtain $75 million award toward capital improvement projects.
  • Served as co-trial counsel for Fortune 500 Company in action by employee following sexual harassment investigation, and in so doing, helped to create favorable precedent for Pennsylvania employers that invasion of privacy claims can be preempted by the Workers Compensation Act.
  • Retained as common counsel and won summary judgment for defendants in $2 million toxic tort suit, defeating novel legal argument that statute of limitations is tolled in environmental cases until identities of defendants are known.
  • Defended national firm in case arising out of loss of patent rights for new drug to be marketed in Japan.

In addition to his litigation practice, Paul has written extensively and is an active speaker on a wide range of topics, including electronic crime in the workplace, employer liability in cyberspace, effective uses of alternative dispute resolution proceedings, and defending civil rights claims against municipalities.
