Conrad O’Brien partner, Matthew Haverstick, recently addressed Pennsylvania solicitors at the Pennsylvania Municipal Authority Association Annual Meeting on “The ABCs of a Public Corruption Internal Investigation”. His talk included an overview of the best practices in responding to and investigating allegations of public corruption, the basics of the Ethics Act and other relevant criminal statutes, and the law on indemnifying and advancing defense costs to public officials accused of wrongdoing in their official capacity.
