After a three day jury trial in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas, Frank Emmerich and Connell McNulty recently obtained a nonsuit on behalf of their client, Polydyne Inc., in the case of Laraway v. Polydyne Inc. Polydyne is a leading national distributor of polymers used in the treatment of municipal wastewater. Plaintiff, a consultant in the wastewater treatment industry, alleged in his lawsuit that Polydyne tortiously interfered with his existing and prospective contractual relations. He sought both compensatory and punitive damages from Polydyne. At the close of plaintiff's evidence, Polydyne moved for nonsuit. The Court agreed with Polydyne's argument and dismissed plaintiff's claims in their entirety.
